Our sites are built using on file-based principle, meaning every page represents a file in folder, just like on your desktop. By default, a Page's URL represents the names of the Folders needed to find the file. For example, a Page called Owner FAQ with a Folder Name of owner-faq placed within the owners folder, the final URL will be https://yourdomain.com/owners/owner-faq.
When you modify a Page's Folder Name, you are only affecting its section of the URL. Following from the previous example, if you change Owner FAQ's folder name to frequently-asked-questions, the final URL will become https://yourdomain.com/owners/frequently-asked-questions.
The default Page URL behaviour can be overwritten by defining a Page's Default Route. Contrary to changing the Folder Name, modifying the Default Route of a Page allows you to modify the entire URL. Going back to the first Owner FAQ example — with a final URL of https://yourdomain.com/owners/frequently-asked-questions — setting the Owner FAQ's Default Route to /owner-faq means its final URL will become https://yourdomain.com/owner-faq.
Always include the slash
/in the beginning of the Default Route . This ensures that the Route you are defining is relative to your Domain Roothttps://yourdomain.com.
