Create a Page

Creating a New Page

At a minimum, a Page needs the following values to exist:

  • Title: The Page's <h1> tag and its name in the Main Navigation.
  • Content: The Page's Markdown content.
  • Parent: The Folder inside of which you would like to create the page.
  • Folder Name/Slug: A hyphenated version of the Page Title, used to generate a URL
  • Template: The template used to display the Page.

To create a new Page, we'll use the + Add button in the top-right corner of the Admin.

  1. From the Pages tab, click on the + Add button at the top-right of your screen.
  2. Set your Page Title. The field accepts inline <html>.
  3. The Folder Name is automatically generated from your Page Title
  4. Select the Parent Page inside which you would like to place your new Page.
  5. Choose a Page Template. Use Default if you're unsure.
  6. Set Visibility to No if you do not want the Page to appear in the Main Navigation.
  7. Click the Continue button at the bottom-right and you'll be brought to the Page Edit screen.
  8. Add your Markdown content in the Editor.
  9. Click Save at the top-right of the screen to create the page.
